Ghana win everything but Afcon trophy

Andre Ayew and Christian Atsu claimed the 2015 Afcon top honours, despite their country's failure to win the trophy.

It will be very scant consolation to the duo who brought the star quality to bear on the tournament, but it will do their individual profiles no harm.
With three goals, Ayew took the top scorer accolade. He gets the nod ahead of three others because he had more assists (two) than his competitors.

Christian Atsu was also adjudged the tournament's Most Valuable Player for his sterling displays.

Despite the Black Stars losing 9-8 in dramatic penalty shootout on Sunday night in Bata, Afriyie Acquah was also adjudged Man of the Match.

Ivory Coast ended a 23-year Africa Cup of Nations title drought by winning on penalties after the final ended 0-0 following extra time.
