He said that exhibit recovered from suspect was one locally made cut-to-size single barrel gun and two live cartridges.

According to him, the suspect had confessed to the crimes, saying he is a member of a three- man gang terrorizing different parts of Lagos and Ogun States.

Adekanmi told Daily Independent that he is 20 years old from Owode-Idiroko in Ogun State.

“I am an Okada rider at Owode-Idoroko, Ogun state. I am the owner of the motorcycle; I make N2, 000 a day. I am single. I got the Okada through higher purchase for N120, 000 and I have delivered N50, 000 so far. It was when I was arrested by the police that I stopped delivery.

“I carried two of my gang members. One is Sunday, while the other one is Taiye. We have robbed three times together. The first was at Agege. We usually snatch motorcycles. We sold one for N50, 000 and my share was N15, 000. The second one was at Sango when we snatched a motorcycle and sold it for N30, 000. We sold it to Baba Ijora at Mushin. My share was N5, 000.

“The third one was also at Sango, we sold it for N35, 000. The same Baba Ijora bought it. He has escaped; they gave me N6, 000. We use only one gun for all the operations. It is a single barrel locally made gun, two of our members escaped. Sunday is the owner of the gun”.
