Manchester City: Five Consecutive Away Defeats

It sums up the sorry and sad story of English Premier League Defending Champions Falling uncontrollably from grace to grass and from title contenders to pretenders. Five away defeats in all competitions was summed up, when Manchester United thoroughly dismantled helpless Manchester city at Old Trafford, winning by 4-2.

Their recent record against Manchester United was broken for the wrong reason. The blue half of Manchester had prevoiusly been beaten thrice in March 2015, in away games first, by Liverpool and Burnley in premier league fixture, and then by Barcelona when they visited Camp Nou for the round of sixteen in Champions League. In April, they were torn apart by Crystal Palace and recently routed by Manchester United.

The free fall of Manchester City might lead to big axe dangling around Manuel Pellgrini's job, his job is very shaky and unsecured . Top four beckons, and they have to fight tenaciously to hold onto that position for the remainder of the games, otherwise this season might just be the season they need to forget in a hurry, because Liverpool, Tottenham and of course Southampton are all breathing down their neck.
