Champions League: Monaco Routs Arsenal

Arsenal will have a mountain to climb in the second leg of its Champions League tie against Monaco after losing the first leg at home 3-1.

Geoffrey Kondogbia and ex Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov got the goals to give Arsene Wenger's former club the advantage going into the second leg.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a late goal for the Gunners to increase raise hopes they can overcome the Ligue 1 club in the tie, but a late strike from Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco restored the two-goal margin.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu scored in the second half to give Bayer Leverkusen a 1-0 home win over last year's finalists Atletico Madrid.
