Chief Judge Tasks Journalists On Fair Reporting

The Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, Justice Idongesit Ntem-Isua, has called on media practitioners in the state to ensure reponsible and fair reporting of ongoing political campaigns and elections coming up next month.

Chairing a two-day workshop for journalists and civil society organisations, organised by VIBRAM Nigeria Ltd., in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Department of State Service, and the Nigeria Police, Justice Ntem-Isua said balanced and fair reportage of the 2015 elections would avert political violence.

She emphasised that the media must play very important role in informing and educating the masses on election issues without bias and favouritism
